Thank you for registering for the CADA Convention! Below are all the details you need to know about the convention before you arrive! 

HOST SITE

The host site for the CADA Annual Convention is the Town & Country. Please leave the following information with a colleague or family member:

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Parking: Parking at the Town and Country Resort is $10 per day for hotel guests and $2 per hour for non-guests not to exceed $10 per day.
Hotel Shuttles will run between the Handlery Hotel, Crown Plaza, Best Western, Courtyard Marriott and Town & Country Hotel. DoubleTree guests will receive a trolley pass that runs to and from the Town & Country Hotel.

WHEN TO ARRIVE

If you are registered for a pre-con, registration for pre-con attendees’ only starts at 8:30 AM – pre-cons will begin at 9:00 AM. Be sure to arrive before the start of the pre-con to get your badge and conference materials. If you are NOT attending a pre-con sessions registration will open at 11:00 AM in the Golden Foyer and the first session will start at 1:00 PM

REGISTRATION & BADGES

Registration will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 27, and will continue until 7:00 pm that evening. You will get your name badge, program book, bag, and conference giveaways onsite at attendee registration in the Atlas Foyer. Also, be sure to stop by your area table to get you area giveaways and important information from your area.

WORKSHOP & SESSION DESCRIPTIONS

At registration you will receive a printed program book; in the meantime use the following link to begin reading workshop and session descriptions. Plan to choose your first and second choice in each workshop time slot; the sessions fill up fast. Download the Program Book now!

DOWNLOAD THE MOBILE APP

Get the latest information from the CADA/CASL Events Mobile App. Download the app from iTunes, Google Play, or Amazon App store or use the web-based version at cada.eventsential.org.

MEALS & NETWORKING EVENTS

Be sure to attend the networking events! CADA will be providing food each night and brunch on Sunday. You won’t go hungry when you’re at CADA! Each night CADA will host dinner and on Saturday we will provide brunch during our closing general session – where we will reveal next year’s convention theme!

*Dinner dance seating & table reservations will be handled at your area check-in table on Wednesday. In order to reserve a seat at a table, you must exchange your dinner voucher for a dinner ticket. If you arrive late you may exchange your dinner voucher at the registration desk on Thursday.

WHAT TO WEAR

Dress for the convention is “California Casual.” School shirts are always appropriate. For the Friday night Dinner/Dance it is Dress California Casual: capris/pants and a cool top, a casual dress or shirt (Hawaiian, polo, button down) and pants. Come casual, yet neat and tasteful, but most of all, WE WANT YOU THERE! The weather will be in the low to mid 60's in the day low 50's at night so bring a sweater for the outside evening events. ADDITIONAL TIPS

  • Bring those business cards or print mailing labels - this will save you serious time in the exhibit hall. 
  • Attend the final exhibit hall session Friday from 9:30 am – 12:30pm. See if you are one of the raffle prize winners – raffle drawing prizes will be announced during this time.
  • We will be taking pictures for our annual CADA Convention Yearbook on Wednesday afternoon. Think about whether you want your picture to be formal, casual, school oriented or fun theme oriented and show up to registration in the appropriate attire.

NEW TO CONVENTION ORIENTATION

If you are new make it a point to attend the New to Convention Orientation  from 4:30pm – 5:30pm on Wednesday. The orientation will teach you how to get the most out of the CADA Convention, as well as give you a chance to meet other New to Convention attendees.

PRE-CON ATTENDEES

If you are registered for any of the 4 Pre-Conference seminars on Wednesday February 27th at 9:00am The session will begin promptly at 9:00am We will open registration at 8:30am in the Golden Foyer. To save attendees time, you will receive your materials for the entire convention and will not need to check-in again. However don’t forget to stop by and check in at your area table in the afternoon to get more goodies.

ADMIN DAY DETAILS

If you have registered for admin day on Friday March 1st, please be sure to head to the Golden Foyer when you arrive at the Town & Country where you will check in at the Onsite Registration Desk. Be sure to check out all the sessions and the exhibit hall to see what CADA is all about. Also, don’t miss out on the Administrator/VIP reception happening from 5:00pm-6:00pm in Presidential Suite 1017 on Friday.
