Outstanding Leadership Program Award

The Outstanding Leadership Program Award recognizes schools in California with outstanding leadership programs that support and encompass the CADA/CASL Roadmap to Positive School Culture & Climate and CASL Mission Statement. 

Outstanding Leadership Program Award (OLPA) 


CADA and CASL are excited to invite your school to apply for the Outstanding Leadership Program Award—an honor recognizing exemplary student leadership programs that foster inclusivity, engagement, and positive school culture.

This award celebrates schools whose leadership programs go above and beyond in building community, promoting student voice, and aligning with the CADA/CASL

Mission Statement:
Our mission is to promote and support leadership development through student activities.

Your application must include the following components:

  1. Application Eligibility Verification - Confirm your program’s eligibility to apply.
  2. School Information - Include your school name, address, and contact details.
  3. Principal’s Name, Email, and Support Document - A letter of testimony from your Principal describing how your student leaders have adapted to support all students on campus.
  4. Overseeing Adult’s Name and Email - The advisor or staff member responsible for the leadership program.
  5. Student Representative’s Name, Email, and Support Document - A letter of testimony from a student leader describing how the leadership program serves the entire student body and school community.
  6. CADA/CASL Mission Statement Alignment - Upload a file explaining how the student leaders support the CADA/CASL Mission Statement: Our mission is to promote and support leadership development through student activities. (Include your school’s participation and representation at the local, state, and national levels.)
  7. 2025–2026 ASB Goal - Share your ASB program’s goal for the current school year.
  8. Road Map to Improved School Climate and Culture - Describe how your school’s leadership program meets the landmarks outlined in the CADA/CASL Road Map to Improved School Climate and Culture.
  9. Additional Support Materials (Optional) - Include photos, videos, or documents that further highlight your leadership program’s impact.
