101 - Foundations for Student Activities

2025 State Convention,  Wednesday, February 26, 2025

  • Fees: $100 pre-registration | $130 on-site, space permitting
  • Registration: To pre-register for courses, see the MAA page of the Convention registration form. Already registered for Convention? Call CADA Central to add MAA course(s) to your Convention registration. 
  • Seminar: Wed, Feb 26, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Additional requirements: Attend specific workshops throughout Convention, attend all Convention events, complete assignment throughout Convention, and a post-Convention assignment due within 2 weeks of Convention end.
  • Optional Additional Fee: $220 (price may increase based on FPU fees) for 2-units of college credit from Fresno Pacific University (on-site registration for college units; payable via credit card to Fresno Pacific University.) 201 - Finance & Law of Student Activities

2025 State Convention, Wednesday, February 26, 2025

  • Fees: $50 for pre-conference | $75 on-site, space permitting - Finance & Law session + $25 for MAA 201 Course add-on
  • Registration: To pre-register for this course, register for the Convention Pre-Con Finance session with the Add-on MAA 201 credit. Already registered for Convention? Call CADA Central to add the Pre-Con/MAA add-on credit to your Convention registration. 
  • Pre-Conference: Wed. Feb 26, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Additional requirements: Complete a post-Convention assignment due within 2 weeks of Convention end. 
  • No college units available in conjunction with this course offering.

District or County Sponsored FCMAT or CASBO Training (alternate option)

  • Attend a district or county sponsored FCMAT or CASBO training and provide proof of attendance to MAA Coordinator at maa@cada1.org to receive credit for this course
  • No additional fees charged with this option

202 - Communication in Student Activities

4-Week Online Course (not currently scheduled)

  • Fees: $100
  • Pre-requisite: Course open to CADA members who have completed MAA 101-Foundations for Student Activities
  • Course Info: Four-week course, totaling approximately 15 hours, with specific assignments/materials/posting board conversations assigned each week. Each week runs Mon-Sun. Week of November 20 will be considered a holiday week (enrollees may choose to work ahead during that week).
  • Optional Additional Fee: $110 (price may increase based on FPU fees) for 1-unit of college credit from Fresno Pacific University (registration for college units will be available once course begins; payable via credit card to Fresno Pacific University.)  FPU Course Number: HBM 1639; FPU Course Title: Leadership Communications 502 (considered a graduate-level course)

To be completed independently when near the end of MAA Course of Study. Work in conjunction with MAA Coordinator to complete a field study or project which will have a positive effect on participant's school or district.
