Area A is made up of 28 counties from Alpine County to Yuba County. Our area members travel from Ceres to the Nevada border and to the East Bay all the way up to the Oregon border. Because we are such a large geographical area, we host three student conferences and one Adviser conference. The Area A council is always willing to help at any time through emails, phone calls or visits. Please don’t hesitate to contact me, Jill Mortensen or Melissa Edsall, Assistant Coordinators or any of our other 21 council members when help is needed.

North State Leadership Student Conferences at the Yolo County Fairgrounds in Woodland! Join us as we teach Leaders skills that will help to make your year outstanding! The conference will include Keynote speakers, workshop sessions, a light morning snack, lunch, entertainment, & CADA giveaways! No on site registration will be available.
 

Please ensure you take note of your leaders' levels before completing the registration process:

  •     Level I leaders: These are first-year leaders who primarily work independently or collaboratively with others.
  •     Level II leaders: Leaders in their 2nd to 3rd year who take on managerial roles such as coaching, teaching, organizing, and coordinating the efforts of others. This category includes roles like secretaries, treasurers, committee chairs, commissioners, and first-time club officers. Middle school students will only have access to Level I and II training.
  •     Level III leaders: Leaders in their 3rd or 4th year who oversee, coordinate, and coach others, and can independently handle leadership responsibilities.
  •     Level IV leaders: These are 4th year leaders, often considered legacy leaders, who have been in leadership roles since the program's inception. They serve as role models, teaching and mentoring younger leaders. While they can delegate tasks, they also work closely as a team with each member of the program.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received in writing to  two weeks prior to the start date of the event. If you are canceling your entire registration prior to two weeks before the event you will receive a 50% refund. If you are reducing your attendee count by 5 or fewer students/advisors CADA will give a full refund, for those delegates. Any more than 5 attendees will be at the discretion of the event organizer for the amount refunded. There are NO refunds given after the refund cutoff date.

Leadership Development Days

Led by facilitator with more than 10,000 hours in leadership training experience, Leadership Development Days provide opportunities for Elementary, Middle School, and High School students to become inspired and contribute to the betterment of their campus and communities.

Leadership Development Days utilize experiential learning activities to unite students and develop lifelong skills. The curriculum is centered around learning effective communication, cultural competencies, connecting to others, individualism vs. collectivism, expanding the leadership base, perseverance, and courage to become the best version of yourself.

$30 per student is all it takes to bring a day-long, research-based, interactive leadership conference to your student leaders and their peers at local schools. Led by an facilitator with more than 10,000 hours in leadership training experience, Leadership Development Days (LDDs) will inspire middle and high school students to change their campus, community, and the world and teach the practical skills needed to make those changes.
